Closure of Barrowland Lane from 28 October 2025

Due to a Temporary Traffic Management Order, Barrowland Lane will be closed to enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance works. The Order will come into operation on 28 October 2025 and remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 5 November 2025.

The effect of the Order is as follows:

1. To impose a temporary road closure on Barrowland Lane, Toller Porcorum, between its junction with High Street and its junction with Shatcombe Lane, a distance of approximately 2135 metres.
2. To impose a temporary parking suspension, as indicated by signs on site, to prevent parking on the highway along Barrowland Lane between the locations listed above.
3. To impose a temporary clearway, as indicated by signs on site, too prevent waiting on the highway along Barrowland Lane between the locations listed above.

A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed section.
